Hello from Simon
« on: August 21, 2010, 01:28:49 PM »
Hiya Skipton Buddies,

My names Simon, just joined the forum so I thought I'd say hello and give a quick intro:

I'm a fairly new diver, been at it about 2 1/2 years. I'm currently qualified to BSAC Sports Diver, but just starting my Dive Leader training in a couple of weeks. I've done about 100 dives, all but 2 in UK waters. I live in Skipton (about 2 mins from the Cross-Keys so I expect you'll see me there). I'm a member of Keighley BSAC and do most of my diving through / with them. Looking forward to meeting up with some of you at the next Thursday meet.

Simon.

Hello and welcome to SBD sijomon.
Glad you found your way to our forum.
Cheers
Nick
An American tourist asks:
"Why do Scuba divers always fall backwards off their boats?"

To which the diver replies:
"If we fell forwards we'd still be in the fuckin’ boat."

Hello Simon. We are diving until November and there's bound to be a few more trips through the winter. Next meeting is tomorrow (Thursday) at the Cross Keys - look forward to seeing you.

Aye, I'll be at Crosskeys tommorrow, its about 1/4 mile from my house so no excuse not to be.

As for diving through Novemeber, I've just about survived a dive at 3.5C  :o so I should be able to joinh you for a few more outings yet  :D

A quick post to say thanks to all those at the Thursday meeting for making me feel welcome.

Good diving natter and only 5 minutes from home, what more can I ask for :)

(ps. as an official council tax payer in Skipton, as soon as I formally join you are allowed the 'Skipton' part in the club name ;))

Simon.
