i have been talking to a member of bradford diving club , and found out a bit of info on poss new diving centre . i was told that the three small reservoirs at the side of the road as you drive over baildon moor has been sold to duck and dive at shipley . gary the owner of duck and dive has got a lottery grant to do the work of changing the site for diving . if you drive past at the min you can see diggers have cleared the edges level and joined 2 of the reservoirs together so you can swim from one in to the other . i have dived them a few times and the depth is only 5m ish . will keep you informed the more i find out .....

I'm currently doing my Divemaster with Gary (hence the absence from the last couple of meetings) and I can confirm that this is correct - it will be a great local facility.  We did a reccie a few weeks back after a Thursday evening pool session.  The depth was 5m during some repairs but is now about 12m.    It will have some platforms etc in soon and more stuff to follow.  We have some students going in in early September and he will be opening it up to others eg SBD. I will keep you posted.  Aether
