Anglesey
« on: January 06, 2012, 04:53:29 PM »
Anyone fancy a weekend in North Wales?

I've been in touch with this guy in Anglesey http://www.julie-anne.co.uk/

There looks to be lots of wreck diving around here at a variety of depths.  He can also take us to some reefs if preferred

The following dates are free

28th/29th July
11th/12th August - This is supposed to be the best tide of the year
8th/9th September
22nd/23rd September

Cost is £45 per day which covers 2 dives.  He has 2 boats, one that takes 8 and the other that takes 12.  They are both ladder boats at the moment but he's fitting a lift to one of them (can't remember which one)

Boats are generally booking up pretty quick this year so if you can let me know a) if you're interested b) which dates you are available and c) if you're wanting a one day or 2 day dive

Cheers

The boat is booked for 11th & 12th August.  So far we have from Keighley Mick, Paul, Simon (Sat only), Dave, Graham, Christine and from Skipton Jon and Joan.

The plan at the moment is to do reasonably shallow wreck dives but can play it by ear a little when we get there

Still room for more so if you are interested please let me know and I'll add you to the list

I think the Bull Bay Hotel is going to be the best place to stop - assuming you're not bringing your own accommodation  :)

The Bull Bay Hotel, 1.5 miles to the west of Amlwch, just a little further around the bay.  Looks like the nearest camp site is Tyn Rhos Campsite in Pen-y-Sarn, 2 miles to the south of Amlwch on the A5025
