Sue Ryder volunteers
« on: August 27, 2009, 04:42:10 PM »
Preferably rescue diver qualified volunteers please.

Sue Ryder Care-Wheatfields Hospice have organised a one mile charity swim in Semer Water near the Yorkshire Dales village of Hawes. The event will take place on 5 September at 10am. If a couple of people are willing to volunteer and provide bank support in case any swimmers get into difficulties.

If someone is willing to help out at this event, they would be most grateful. They'll be needed at the event for a couple of hours between 9am and 11am, maybe a little longer depending on the progress of the swimmers.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you.

Can you let me know if you would like to help out. Cheers

Regards,
The skiptondivers Team.

"Why do Scuba divers always fall backwards off their boats?"

To which the diver replies:
"If we fell forwards we'd still be in the fuckin’ boat."

hey mate,

am working untill 0200 that morning and am not rescue qualified - however i can swim and am A and E nurse  ILS trained so if no one else volunteers would be glad to offer my services. am assuming that we will be covered for liability vicariously on organisers insurance - could be worth checking.

You will be covered on their insurance - please see your private messages.
Thanks very much Dan for volunteering your valuable free time.
Cheers
