I've just set up a new text service for the club using ScubaText. It allows everyone who's opted-in to send and receive text messages with everyone else. You only need to send one message from your phone or the via the website and everyone will receive it. There is the usual single text cost for sending from a phone, but receiving is free. There is a short ad at the end of the text which can be ignored.

www.scubatext.co.uk or simply text SUBSCRIBE BUDDYS to 07797801661 via your mobile phone. I suggest you put this number in your contacts. To send a message to everyone, simply text the word BUDDYS followed by your message to 07797801661. For more information on ScubaText, visit
www.scubatext.co.uk I suggest that we carry on using the forum exactly the same as we always have done, but when we want to get an urgent message to all the club members or when we are on a trip and need to contact all the divers we use Scubatext.
Currently I need to authorise all members and will work from the membership list Kaz handed out at the last meeting.
