Patrick - Old Guy
« on: August 30, 2010, 09:01:32 PM »
It is with greatest regret that I have to announce that Patrick (Old Guy / Ice Man) passed away today.
He was taken in to hospital last Thursday with a suspected blood infection.
Sympathies go to Glenys and her family.
Although he was a member only a short time, his enthusiasm for his new found sport was infectious, and I thoroughly enjoyed my diving and social time with him.

That is so crazy - he was on top form at Capern Wray only 10 days ago...

I will always remember the biggest grin I have ever seen when we surfaced at Brown's Bay   :D

He certainly will be missed, seems to have been one of those guys who made friends instantly.

Mike and I send our deepest sympathies to Patrick's wife, family and friends. We met at Capernwray and what a grand chap he was, he loved his diving and made new friends amongst the Skipton Buddies. We will miss his enthusiasm and posts on the Forum.

Such a sad loss.
My deepest sympathy to Patricks family.

Nick
An American tourist asks:
"Why do Scuba divers always fall backwards off their boats?"

To which the diver replies:
"If we fell forwards we'd still be in the fuckin’ boat."
